Cranksgiving is an event started in New York City in 1999. By using cyclists to gather food items for area homeless and hungry a new tradition was born: Cranksgiving.
The Cedar Valley's very own food drive on a bike started in 2009 and is Iowa's longest running Cranksgiving event.
