Introducing Sunday Funday
Sunday is all about relaxing, spending time with family and friends, and of course, eating. What would happen if we combined all three - a relaxing bike ride with the family followed by a little pizza at a great local restaurant?
Introducing the Sunday Funday Family Peetza Ride. Beginning in June, mark your calendars for the first and third Sunday of the next few months. Rides will leave Bike Tech promptly at 5:00pm and arrive at Doughy Joeys CF at approximately 5:30.
So dust off those bikes, get some helmets on the kids (and parents!), and get ready for a great relaxing ride on the recreational trails.

You might not know but Bike Tech spends a lot of time in meetings about advocacy. We first got started with recreational trails, served on 2 local Ragbrai committees, and helped to found CVAST. Lately we've been spending more and more time with on-road cycling including the Cedar Falls Bicycle Task Force and Blue Zones in both Cedar Falls and Waterloo.
Along the way we've learn a ton about exactly what it takes to ride a bike - not the actual riding but the development and maintenance of facilities, government policy, and of course... how to pay for it all.
We've typically made it our rule not to get involved with politics but we also feel that you should be informed of the facts regarding Complete Streets and roundabouts.
