Comments:
Comfy, fast, confident ride. Been riding since fall 2013 and I only have good things to say about it. Brakes work very well tires are fast on street and grippy when on trails. I received $300 off when I purchased at Caps in New West
Pros
- Versatile
- Smooth inner tread
- Wide gear range
- Blast to ride

Comments:
My Crosstrail Sport replaced my 20 year old Crossroads. My Crossroads is a fantastic bike; held up great and fun to ride. Been riding more on rougher trails so suspension seemed like a good idea. First I was thinking mountain bike. Rode some but was not impressed. A mountain bike is good for going up and down steep dirt trails but not much else. The Crosstrail can do almost anything a mountain bike can but is more versatile. It has a wide range of gear ratios so you can go fast. The knobby-free center of the tread is quiet and smooth on pavement and improved trails. Never lacked traction. Shifts fast and precisely. V-brakes are simple, light and powerful. Disks work a little better in some conditions but not worth their downsides (Google "v-brakes vs disk brakes"). Looks great; fit and finish are top quality. [...]Bikeshop set everything up perfectly. Best thing is it is an absolute blast to ride. I can fly on this bike; love it!

I ride this bike everywhere and everyday. Overall it is great, it shifts nicely, has a great ride with the lockout front fork and it can coast forever too. My only problem is the stock pedals, Specialized should be ashamed of themselves for putting them on this bike. Thanks Johnny Sprockets!

This is was my first quality bike since my Trek 820 was stolen in '93. My current bike was a Mongoose MTB and I was due for an upgrade and what a day/night difference. I was looking for a hybrid with upright riding so I could switch between pavement and trail riding without discomfort and the Crosstrail was exactly what I was looking for. The Crosstrail is lightweight, has easy shifting and you can feel how great it rides. The lockout fork was an added bonus that you can switch easily. If you're looking for a hybrid test ride the Crosstrail. You won't regret it!

Comments:
I am an ex runner and bought this bike to get much needed exercise. I have never owned a bike of this quality. My Crosstrail Sport is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for". The bike is much better than I imagined. It is great for pavement and groomed trails. I haven't taken it off road/trail but I'm sure it would work. Easy shifts and the miles just melt away. If you don't have a lot of safe roads to ride and don't want to buy a road bike this is the bike for you.

Comments:
This is my first bike in over 30 years after a Schwinn Continental...what a difference! With a range of 24 gears, hills are easier than I remember. Gear shifting is precise - no slippage or misses. My neighborhood is full of terrain that is far from level. The Crosstrail is a comfortable ride with bicycle shorts and I agree with the description given by the sales person...the bike is a hybrid on steroids. The stock pedals need more bite to prevent slipping. I'll own and ride this yellow and black beauty for a long time. Thank you Spokes, etc. for the education and the positive experience in the purchase.

I bought this bike for city and groomed trail riding and I'm really pleased with it. It's lightweight and you can feel the quality as you ride. The upright riding position works for me. The front shock adds a lot to the riding pleasure. Have not ridden it in rough places. If you want a hybrid, check this out.

I enjoyed taking this bike on the streets as well as on any groomed trails. I would recommend this bike if you are a recreational rider or for commuting to work. I really enjoy the way the gear shifters work, easy to use, smooth transition between gears. I look forward to riding this bike a lot this summer.

Comments:
Great bicycle for a variety of uses, commuting, recreational road riding, long hauls, and light trail use. Picks up speed very well, quality components. The only downside to this bike is that it is too long to easily fit in transit bus bicycle racks.
