Pint Night Ride - 2024

Pint Night Ride returns to the Cedar Valley on May 2nd!

Join us every 1st and 3rd Thursday for a leisurely ride to SingleSpeed Brewing's Waterloo location for a bite to eat and a beverage. Utilizing some of the Cedar Valley's best (and flattest) trails, ride your bike with new friends each ride. Register online and check-in at Bike Tech. The first beverage will be on SingleSpeed & Bike Tech's tab!

A FEW THINGS OF NOTE FOR THIS SEASON


BRINGING FRIENDS & NEW RIDERS - it’s what PNR is all about!

  • Make sure your friends know they must have a helmet and working lights before they arrive. The last thing we want to do is turn a new PNRer away.

  • Help save them some time by telling them to register prior to arriving at the store (see below).


REGISTRATION - the same as last year

  • YES, you need to register again for the 2024 season. You only need to register once.

  • Like last year, we do not have onsite registration in the store, but we will supply a QR code, so you can register on your phone if you forgot to do it at home.


BEVERAGE TOKENS - nearly the same as last year

  • Tokens will be handed out inside Bike Tech.

  • We hand out tokens starting at 5:30pm after verification of a signed e-waiver. Last tokens will be handed out at 6:15pm. You can begin your ride anytime after receiving your token.

  • Feel free to browse the store but be aware that space may be limited.


RIDE SCHEDULE - you'll have plenty of time

  • Token handouts: starting at 5:30pm
  • Departure Ride: anytime after 5:30pm from Bike Tech. Last token handed out at 6:15pm.
  • Food, Fun, & Drink: 5:30 to 8:30pm
  • Return Ride: 8:30pm group start from SingleSpeed


REQUIREMENTS - know before you go

  • Signed waiver: part of registration, and you only need to register once, but you must register before your first ride
  • Helmet: no helmet, no ride
  • Lights, front and rear: no lights, no ride
  • Love of bikes, trails, & beer: the love is mutual


FAQs - they're obligatory

  • Registration: You only need to sign up once per season. Yes, you need to fill out a new waiver each season, but you only need to register once.
  • Cancellation Policy: For your safety we will cancel the Pint Night Ride event if the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area is under a severe weather advisory or if a 40+% chance of rain is forecast between 5-9pm. Look for ride updates on the Bike Tech Facebook page. We will post any ride changes or cancellations by 5pm on the night of the ride.
