Tools & Lubes

Today's bicycles all require periodic maintainence in order to ensure proper operation, smooth riding, and most importantly, rider satisfaction. We all know a bike that doesn't shift very well isn't a whole lot of fun to ride.

Before we go any further... Not in to working on your own bike? Wearing more grease than your bike? Can't figure out how that part comes out? That's alright, we service bikes of all shapes and sizes.

Having the right tool will make any job easier. Crescent wrenches and hammers aren't exactly what we would consider 'precision' tools. If you're looking for a simple tire lever to change that unexpected flat, a handy multi-tool for an emergency repair, or thinking about decking out the garage, stop by and let the staff at Bike Tech offer their mechanical expertise in helping to choose the tool that will work best for you.

The most commonly lubed part on a bicycle is the chain. This can be an easy process for even the most inexperienced cyclist. A properly lubed chain will last longer, run quieter, and shift better. Ditto for the cables and bearings found on your bike.

A clean bike is also a happy bike. Clean bikes have been scientifically proven to go faster than dirty bikes. We sell degreasers and polishes to make your bike look and feel like the day you bought it.

Note: WD-40 should NOT be used on a bicycle. Many will argue this point. They probably haven't worked at a bike shop. Just trust us on this one.
