Pumps

We want to - PUMP - you up!

In a car proper tire pressure is needed to give you the optimal gas mileage and tire performance. The same is very true for the tires on your bicycle. Even though gas mileage doesn't apply to a bicycle the amount of energy you expend does. Test it yourself by releasing 10psi from your tires and going for a short ride. Fill them back up and take a short ride. We gaurantee you'll feel the difference.

There are two types of pumps out there: floor pumps and mobile pumps. Floor pumps are excellent for the garage and are best used when changing tires at home or filling up your tires just before a ride. Mobile pumps work best during the ride. These small, lightweigh pumps are for emergency use when you have a flat tire in the middle of nowhere.

Want to fill up that tire quickly? Are you in a race? A mobile CO2 pump may be for you. This type of pump uses compressed CO2 to rapidly inflate a tire to get you moving fast. We have several varieties in stock.

Let staff at Bike Tech can help you choose which pump(s) will work best for you and your bike.

Hint: Don't know how much pressure to put in your tires? The manufacturer's reccomended tire pressure range is written on the side of the tire (just like the tires on your vehicle).
